The Divine Mother is heroic. Vira means “hero" or "brave person" in Sanskrit.
When we see good Dharmic action in universal beings, the Divine Mother’s presence is there. The Divine Mother displays Her glories through many murtis. If a mature lady has celebrated husband with good material wealth, she can become a Vira lady. The Divine Mother, Lalitha, is a great lady. Shiva is Her spouse, Jnana Ganapathy, and warrior Lord Subramanian as Her offspring, Lalitha has greatness within Her. Good husband and good offspring for a lady can be led to a Vira. The Divine Mother is the great Vira, Herself. With wisdom and skills, excellent warriorship is evident in the Divine Mother. People praising warriorship become the warriors themselves. The Divine Mother created this scheme of things for benefit of the whole universe.
The Divine Mother is unparalleled among Viras, with offspring like Lord Subramanian, the warrior and Ganesa, the remover of obstacles; Her another form Kali Devi, the slayer of Daruka, with Her spouse Shiva who consumed the most potent of poison to save the others, is a Vira Herself.
