The Divine Mother is the spouse of Sadashiva.
She is living and sharing half body with Sadashiva as in Arthanareeswarar (Shiva and Parvathi as a single, composite form, representing the inseparable and equal nature of the divine masculine (Shiva) and divine feminine (Parvathi) principles). For the whole universe, the Divine Mother as the Mother and Shiva as the Father is functional norm. For a devotee, he needs to understand this Shiva-Shakti, Arthanareeswarar combined form.
As the spouse of Sadashiva, She is His house maker. Shiva always has auspicious words, actions, and thinking. As She is making the family with Shiva, She is taking Shiva’s words, actions, and thinking as Her own and lives in line with Shiva.
This Namam means “always (Sada), blissful (Shiva) and with family (Kutumbini).” Kutumbini is the matron of the family, taking charge of domestic and other family running arrangements.
There are very many forms of Her like Shaktis Syamala, Suddhavidya and Asvarudha are all members of Her defense team in going to war to eliminate evil elements like Banda-sura. There are other forms taken by Her to provide for Her devotees. Yet all these Shaktis are forms of the Divine Mother Herself.
