Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 904: Shri Vidagdha (ōṃ vidagdhāyai namaḥ)

The Divine Mother is an expert in everything in the universe.

She is skilled to expert level in everything in this universe. In natures’ way, the Divine Mother demonstrates many excellent things, done easily by Her. The steam from water is not visible to our naked eyes and it goes up to form white and later grey or black clouds. When these clouds collide, there is immense electrical energy generated. Through earthquakes, in split seconds the earthly structures change. The small ants have many living aspects within them; they join to carry many times heavier eatables. Many humans go by airplane to faraway places in a very short span of time. These are the Divine Mother’s glory coming out in many ways.

In this universe, to give life to a dying being is the finest thing due to the Divine Mother’s kind actions. All Her fine skills are explicit here. She does these continuously. So, She is celebrated as ‘Vidagdha or an expert with various skills.’ She is expert, as Her all actions display Her immense skills in everything, She embarks.

How marvelous is the expertise that the Divine Mother shows in diversity of creation in dexterity (skills in performing tasks, especially with hands) of protection, in the manner of punishments to the evil forces, like Bhanda-asura.

The Divine Mother is an expert in everything in the universe.
