Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 894: Shri Ayonih (ōṃ ayōnyai namaḥ)

The Divine Mother is without origin.

She had not originated from anywhere or anything. If any life comes into being, then one can ask where it came from. But for Shiva and Shakti, the Divine Mother, there is no starting point or origin. They are there eternally. For other thing / being that originates, there is an end. For the divinity, the Divine Mother Has, no birth, no sustaining, and disappearing death. She is there forever. The Divine Mother spreads in all places. She is beyond time, places, reasons, and causes. She is existing forever. This is worth understanding and praying to the Divine Mother.

Due to the Divine Mother, the whole universe was created. She is the cause of this universe and beyond it. She did not have birth or origin. Ayoni can mean a separate place. So, the Divine Mother is called Ayoni. Yoni means a place to stay. She is everywhere and is the basis of everything in this universe. We cannot say that She is existing in a particular place. ‘a’ is Vishnu and His Mother is Ayoni.

Since She has no origin, She, also has no end or no limits.

‘a’ is Vishnu and yoni is origin, so She is the origin of Vishnu. Even the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Rudra arise, exit, and perish in Her.

The Divine Mother is without origin.
