The Divine Mother is the Universal Mother. She protects and sustains the world.
She holds the whole universe (within Her during the Pralaya). In open space countless galaxies are moving around. There is a system in their movements. The pulling magnetic force is the Divine Mother’s external appearance. Earth is rotating on its own and around the Sun in three hundred and sixty-four and a quarter day. Moon takes one month to go around the earth. In this fashion all universal objects function systematically. The Divine Mother holding the total universe has a deeper meaning.
She is bearing the whole universe. Dhatri means mother or Indian Gooseberry (Amla). Dhatri takes care of the child given birth by her, as its biological mother Person taking cares of child’s growth is also called Dhatri. The Divine Mother created the universe, and its beings is like the biological mother for the universal beings. Dhatri also means who holds. The Divine Mother is holding the pull/push forces. Dhatri also means earth. Jagad means functioning of various living beings. The Divine Mother, as the earth holds all living beings and takes care of their lives.
She is our Lord, who gives us our daily needs without fail (our food and clothes); She always protects and blesses us.
The Divine Mother is the Universal Mother.
She protects
and sustains the world.
