Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 151: Shri Nirantara (OM nirantarAyai namaH)

In Namam 132 to 187, the Divine Mother’s Japarupam or Formlessness will be the described.

The Divine Mother is without any cause.

She is said to be the root cause of everything in this universe. Here, the cause is eternal and the effects are transient in nature. She is the Universal Mother controlling. Being Supreme, She is the ultimate and She controls everything.

She does not need a cause for her existence. This is due to Her total control of the universe. All other universal things are the effects.

A Flower is the cause. The plant from which it flowered is the cause. The sea waves are the effect while the sea and the wind are the cause. So we can separate the cause and effect for any normal thing.

In the case of  the Divine Mother, She is the ultimate and infinite in Her existence.

Though She is the cause as also, the effect – yet, She Herself is Niskarana; not proceeding from any case.
