Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 146: Shri Nisprapanca (OM nisprapancaAyai namaH)

In Namam 132 to 187, the Divine Mother’s Japarupam or Formlessness will be the described.

The Divine Mother is creating this universe. But, She is not part this universe.

The five elements namely, earth, water, air, fire and sky make up the Prapanca or this Universe. She formed this universe. She is different from this whole universe; which is a combination of all above five elements.

Under Her creation, this universe has many worlds; similar to our earth. We are able to see some of the creatures in this universe. There are other parts of this universe which we cannot visualize.

As She creates them, She is the basis of all these elements in this universe.

In a darkened environment, a rope may be believed to be a snake. For this illusion, the basis is the rope. Similarly for this universe, the basis is the Divine Mother. But, She is not part of it.

The Divine Mother eliminates the darkness of ignorance in Her devotees. She grants the light of Supreme Self for them, to do away with all illusions.

The sky looks blue in colour but actually the sky is colourless element. This universe has starting and ending periods but the Divine Mother is eternal as there are no starting and ending for Her. She is in Her  true self, controlling the universe.

So She is Nisprapanca
