Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 143: Shri Nirupaplava (OM nirupaplavAyai namaH)

In Namam 132 to 187, the Divine Mother’s Japarupam or Formlessness will be the described.

The Divine Mother is not destructible.

Upaplava means destruction or calamity. Excepting the sky, all other universal elements can cause manifold damages to universal creatures. Some examples are: Earth quake, tsunami, forest fire and storm originating from ocean. As a result, the mankind and other universal creatures die.

Pralayam is a condition when the universe dissolves in sea water which is also upaplava. Then the whole universe will go through dissolution and recreation. Though the Divine Mother  controls all these functions. She always stays non destructible.

The devotee who reaches Sahasrara will not have the destruction which is same as the Divine mother’s Nirupaplava state.

The namam can also mean that, by the Divine Mother’s actions, the excessive nectar flow is taking place, on the body of the soul. This refers to Kundalini which rises from MuladhAra to SahasrAra; causing excessive nectar flow towards Muladhrara. (Please see earlier namam 110”Kundalini”).
