Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 144: Shri Nityamukta (OM nityamuktAyai namaH)

In Namam 132 to 187, the Divine Mother’s Japarupam or Formlessness will be the described.

The Divine Mother is ever free from worldly bondage and attachments.

Someway or other, all beings are in bondage. The normal human does not reach the liberation so easily. The moment he is born, he cries due to hunger. When he gets disease he is worried. He has more desires which cause untold troubles to him. Finally when he is dead, he goes into Samsara cycle of birth and death without getting liberation.

The Divine mother is ever free from all these troubles.

Through Her actions, such as destroying Bhandasura, blessing the celestial beings or sporting with Lord Siva in their unison are attributed to Her. She is free from all these.

Another interpretation of this Namam is that, She is eternal and infinite. She is granting liberation or Mukthi to her devotees. These liberated devotees merge with the Supreme Self. They become eternal; without any more cycles of birth and death for them.

She is Nityamukta, eternally free from any bondage or attachment.
