In Namam 132 to 187, the Divine Mother’s Japarupam or
Formlessness will be the described.
The Divine Mother is without
any form. Akara means having a form.
Nirakara means formless.
Every form is based on some
attributes. She is beyond all the attributes. Therefore She is without any
form.
A steam or vapour has no
form; on other hand, water; snow, rain and cloud all are having forms; though water
is the basic structure, in all those forms.
Likewise for separating
things based on their attributes, various forms are available. Male, female,
human, animal, tree, stone and sand are some of the different forms for things
in this world.
The idea that the God has no
form is not new to Hindu philosophy. A devotee, who thinks about attributes,
cannot visualize a formless God. The mind and words withdraw, without reaching
the formless God.
The formless Supreme Self is
given a form, so that, the human mind may visualize It. An experienced devotee
will understand that, this is a process of imagination, not only leading to the
sense to experience beauty but also behold the power of intellect.
The Divine Mother is Supreme
State, She has no form. She is NirAkAra.
