Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 39: Shri Kamesa Jnata Saubhagya Mardavoru Dvayanvita (OM kAmeshaj ~ nAtasaubhAgyamArdavorudvayAnvitAyai namaH)

The Divine Mother has softer and beautiful thighs. Only HER husband Lord Kameswaran can understand, know and appreciate them. Even Lord Kameswaran cannot describe such beauty of the Divine Mother’s thighs.

In earlier namam, we had seen that Lord Kameswaran had completely destroyed (vanquished) Kaman, the Lord of desire and love. Lord Kameswaran is completely desire less. This namam’s meaning can be interpreted as the one who had no desire or Kamam at all can only see the inner secret of the Divine Mother.

This can lead to the view that the Divine Mother, as in Arthanareeswarar, shares the other half of Lord Kameswaran (Siva).

This namam can also imply that any learned sage’s secret spiritual exposure or experience will be like a bee getting the nectar in the blossom with never ending bliss (supreme happiness).

Overall, this namam brings out the intimacy between the Divine Mother and Lord Kameswaran.

Arthanareeswarar: A deity showing the combined figure of Lord Kameswaran and the Divine Mother. This shows both of them are one. There are slogams or archana for this deity, sharing 50:50 in the verge for prayers to Lord Kameswaran and the Divine mother.
