Dharmic way of life, an example 06 June 2025

Dharmic way of life, an example

Recently, one tank road Shri Thendayuthapani temple priest, was telling me this story. I found it interesting, and thought of sharing with you. There was man just prayed everyday to "Chitragupta", the accountant to keep papa punya calculations for all humans, which was used to determine if that human will go to Heaven or Hell after his life in this world. The person's D day was nearing. Chitragupta checked and found this person would be allowed to stay in heaven for one day only and after that he must be thrown down to hell. The day before the D Day, Chitragupta went to this person and indicated this. Also he suggested to him to dig enough water tanks or urani. After  digging a tank, collect one big cup of water and feed to a cow. The person tried but he could not get water, his digging extended to many areas, finally he got a cup of water to feed to a cow nearby. The next day when the "Yamen" came to take his life and asked, the person said to take him to first to heaven and afterwards to hell for rest of his time. He was brought to heaven, but his days in heaven keep growing. When enquired, the answer was that the next day there was heavy rain fall in his digging tank areas. The tanks were filled and many, many cows had taken water from such tankful of water. That helped him to stay long long time in heaven.

The point is that any small dharmic action done by a person helps him in future lives. The nature or the divine system keeps accounts and calculations of all good and bad things to reward to a human accordingly.
