The Divine Mother
wears gem studded golden anklets in HER auspicious lotus feet. As SHE walks
these anklets tinkle sweetly.
We have seen earlier
that the Divine Mother came out of the yoga fire lit by the devargal seeking
HER help to destroy the Pandasuran, the evil force. From the fire as she walked
towards the devargal, the anklets in her auspicious lotus feet produced
tinkling sound. The devargal on hearing such sweet sound got immense happiness
and confidence in getting HER help.
This namam is
associated with the sound. The unique characteristic nature of the (celestial)
sky is sound. This has evolved into the immeasurable creation. To create is an
action. If any action takes place it is natural to produce sound. The sound
produced here is unstuck or unheard to normal humans. During deep meditation,
the Divine Mother’s worshippers had heard HER anklets musical tinkle.
