The Divine Mother’s round
and solid ankles are hidden from view by the hem of HER garment. The bones in the
ankles are not visible outside. The compressed muscles are covering them. HER ankles are well filled and therefore without protrusion.
Hem: the edge of a piece
of cloth or clothing which had been turned under and sewn such as the bottom edge
of a skirt or dress that is folded over.
Gudha: means obscure,
hidden, concealed, kept secret, covered, invisible
Gulpha: means ankles,
marmas or vital points in human body namely muscular, vascular, ligament, bone and
joints
This simple namam conveys
the meaning that the Divine Mother has strong and beautiful hidden ankles.
