The Divine Mother is in the form of sixteen-syllable (pancadasaksari (fifteen-syllable plus Sri added making it to sixteen-syllable mantra)).
All bija syllables are staying with the Divine Mother as Her garland. Sound based letters do not get destroyed; they stay as Naadabrahmam. Each syllable spells out the Divine Mother’s glories. There are many sixteen-syllable based Namams for the Shri Lalitha Devi. When we analyze it, they indicate the ultimate Brahma study.
Each devotee of the Divine Mother, depending upon his maturity level gets the Sodasaksari (sixteen-syllable) mantra for his level of understanding and use. So. depending on the soul’s level, the Pancadasaksari mantra stays in his heart; those who recite continuously get the blessings of the Divine Mother.
There is a twenty-eight syllables mantra called Para Sodasakshari. This mantra is as follows: Shreem, Sowhu, Kleem, Aym, Hreem, Shreem, Hreem, Om, Pancadasaksari, Hreem, Shreem, Aym, Kleem, Sowhu. The Pancadasaksari is in three Kutams as we have seen before (See table below). Along with the thirteen- bija asharams these three Kutams are counted as three Ashrams in Para Sodasakshari.
Atmavidya, Mahavidya, Srividya and Sodasaksari vidya are four Namams which teach us the karma path. Brahman is the universal concept Visuvarupa vidya mantra teaching in Srividya and teaching about Brahmam which is called Brahmavidya. These four Namas ultimately are part of the Divine Mother.
A mantra does not become potent merely from all syllables arranged in it. The sattvic purity and sincerity of the person giving it and using it are very important. That is why it is prescribed that one should be inducted identified into a mantra only by a master who has attained mantrasiddhi, that is the one who has realized the efficacy of the mantra by long practice.
