Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 532 Shri Sarvatomukhi (ōṃ sarvatōmukhyai namaḥ)

Namam 475 to 534 represent the Divine Mother’s Yogini forms.

The Divine Mother’s Representative Yakini yogin residing (in Brahmarandhra) in the thousand-petaled lotus has Her all faces turned in all directions.

The Divine Mother is pervading all over the universe with many forms is for our understanding purpose only. The humans can understand the tattvas only through various forms; with our one face, we turn around to see things behind us. With the Divine Mother’s faces turned in all directions, She is keeping a watch for all universal beings on their needs. All beings are all displaying various forms of the Divine Mother; considering and accepting the Divine Mother is spreading all over the universe, is a form of prayer to the Divine Mother, to see them all-in Her forms.

Essentially, the Divine Mother’s thousands of faces are turned to all directions to watch for the needs of Her devotees and all universal beings.

Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 531 Shri Shukla samsthita (ōṃ śuklasaṃsthitāyai namaḥ)

Namam 475 to 534 represent the Divine Mother’s Yogini forms.

The Divine Mother’s Representative Yakini yogin (in Brahmarandhra) in the thousand-petaled lotus resides in the semen (also called seminal fluid emitted from the male reproductive tract and that contains sperm cells capable of fertilizing the female eggs).

Shukla is the male bindu; it is life giving semen. Yakini Devi is presiding deity for shukla, which can fertilize the female egg. Shukla is also white or pure or bright; it is used in grading of kama and refers to good deeds that leads to good karma.

In this universe, the Divine Mother is in all forms, and She takes the shukla form also. The humans should consider that as a great thing. Through pregnancy of the biological mother the humans are born as they earn the criteria for their life eligibility in the universe. It is essential to conserve the shukla which is a good form of the Divine Mother worship. In Mahabharata episode, Bhishma is the best example of such persons. Even the death cannot reach him without his permission; nobody can win over him in the battlefield, due to his strengths gained in his shukla with his brahmachariam.

Yakini Devi’s residence shukla semen is the place to hold all bodily shaktis. In old age of the beings or humans, this shukla supports the body. The Divine Mother resides in this shukla through Her representative Yakini Devi.

Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 530 Shri Sarvayudha dhara (ōṃ sarvāyudhadharāyai namaḥ )

Namam 475 to 534 represent the Divine Mother’s Yogini forms.

The Divine Mother’s Representative Yakini yogin residing in Brahmarandhra in the thousand-petaled lotus is holding all the weapons, meaning countless weapons in Her countless hands.

A weapon/tool in our context is the skill or materials used to achieve our end results; not necessarily the sharp tools like knife used to hurt or destroy others. For a child going to a school, its books, pen and class-room can be considered as weapons.

Yakini Devi representing the Divine Mother holds all kinds of weapons. “The one without a weapon is called as half-man” is a saying. A human being brings out his full skills through a weapon. The one without a weapon cannot bring out his ability and skills. Those beings walking, flying, and swimming depending upon their life needs have natural weapons to safeguarding themselves. For a lion, its nails and teeth are the weapons for safeguarding and being aggressive to get food. For a deer, faster running is its weapon to defend itself. All these are representation of the Divine Mother’s glories.

The human is born without any weapon; but he creates innumerable weapons using his knowledge. To analysis the blood, he had made minute equipment. With one shot, he can destroy one village or a town. Depending on the need, the kind of equipment used by humans is very many. Likewise, to manage all universal beings, the Divine Mother uses all kinds of Her glories. In this universe, all the beings use many weapons; the Divine Mother uses such weapons as She plays to achieve Her scheme of things. So, She is Sarvayudhadhara or the one having many weapons.

Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 529 Shri Sarva varnopasobhita (ōṃ sarvavarṇōpaśōbhitāyai namaḥ)

Namam 475 to 534 represent the Divine Mother’s Yogini forms.

The Divine Mother’s Representative Yakini yogin residing in Brahmarandhra in the thousand-petaled lotus is radiant in many colours.

Yakini Devi is decorated in all colours. There are seven basic colours, visible to our human naked eyes (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet). It is the glory of the Divine Mother to have so many colours. We cannot count the colours of the flowers in the world. One colour matching to another colour increases the beauty, which is a miracle. When we analysis this, we can understand the skills and glories of the Divine Mother. Likewise, some fruits when they become ripe, their changing colours are not countable. The butterfly’s colours are countless. In fishes’ similar miracle of various colours happen.

Varna also means letter and or sound. The Yakini Devi is sitting in thousand-petaled lotus, the Divine Mother is in sound or nada form also. In sounds there are many forms. Padartham means meaning of words. So, the Divine Mother has various light and sound forms to display Her glories.

Yakini Devi includes all other six Devi from earlier six-chakras. Dakini and other Devis each having different colours, whereas Yakini Dei has all such colours in Her figure.  A to Ksha fifty lettered shaktis are surrounding Yakini Devi. On reverse order another fifty shaktis, making a total off one hundred shaktis mentioned. They are counted ten times, to make it a thousand shaktis. In this way, one thousand-petals are occupied by shaktis. If these syllables or letters are repeated many times, we will get countless number of shaktis in those lotus petals and Yakini Devi resides in Sahasrara chakra.

Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 528 Shri Sahasra dala padmastha (ōṃ sahasradalapadmasthāyai namaḥ)

Namam 475 to 534 represent the Divine Mother’s Yogini forms.

The Divine Mother’s Representative Yakini yogin is residing in Brahmarandhra in the thousand-petaled lotus above Ajna chakra.

Beahmarandhra is a hole or opening just above sahasrara chakra, the seven key point Brahamam, the kundalini aims to reach, through earlier six-chakras.

Yakini Devi resides in Sahasarara lotus. Brahmantham or Sahasarara is the seventh Jnana chakra. In humans, Kundalini is meditating in Muladhara to reach the Brahmam or Lord Shiva. Depending on devotee’s level of Brahmacharyam, Kundalini shakti, stands at sushma nadi opening.

When Kundalini shakti passes through all chakras and reaches Ajna chakra, he is fully matured. The Divine Mother was initially the Parvati Devi. In Ajna chakra, Kundalini gains full wisdom from Hakini Devi. Himalaya is an example of Jada shakti. In this universe, due to meditation, Jada shakti turns into Chitshakti. From the dimmed light to gradually bright light, Chitshakti gives clarity and wisdom.

Six faced Lord Muruga is a highly matured soul; Hakini Devi has six-faces and reaches the seven Jnana chakra or Sahasarara; She turns into Yakini Devi. There, the soul, maya shakti and Shiva merge liberating  the soul. Sushma struggled soul ultimately merges with the Brahman to get the liberation. The seventh Jnana chakra has thousand or uncountable petals to represent the wider universe. In that Shiva and Shakti unison happens. So, in Himalaya, there is no sannathi for the Devi; only Lord Shiva sannathi is there. This is the truth about the Sahasarara Brahmam.

Meditation to Her is as follows: “We meditate on Yakini Devi, residing in the moon of the pericarp of the thousand-petaled lotus in Brahmarandhra, presiding over the semen (also called seminal fluid emitted from male reproductive tract and that contains sperm cells capable of fertilizing the female’s eggs), armed with all kinds of weapons, facing all sides, attended by the list of shaktis of syllables A to Ksha, shining in all colours, fond of variety of food and devoted to the Supreme Shiva.

Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 527 Shri Hakini rupa dharini (ōṃ hākinīrūpadhāriṇyai namaḥ)

Namams 475 to 534 represent the Divine Mother’s Yogini forms.

The Divine Mother’s Representative Hakini yogin residing in the Ajna cakra pericarp in two-petaled lotus was described in earlier six Namams.

Purity is identified by white colour; Hakini Devi is meditated white in colour, four handed is seated in Ajna chakra between two eyebrows. In Ajna chakra Hakini Devi is surrounded and attended by Hamsavati and Kshamavati Devis; She is residing in there. She is presiding over Majja; She is whitish in colour, with six-faces, fond of yellow turmeric mixed rice food. After saying that I pray to her, touching the forehead is customary. Jnanamudra, drum, Akshamala and skull in Her four arms are Her weapons, three eye, She provides all the desires for the devotees.

She is holding Jnana mudra; it shows that She is the origin of Knowledge. To show all the sound originates from Her, She is holding a drum in another hand. She holds Akshamala in another hand; Aksham represents the eyes. Rudrasa came out of Lord Shiva’s eye as mercy drops. The Divine Mother indicates that She is known as Karunarasasagara by holding that, Akshamala. In Her fourth hand She is holding a skull to indicate that for the living being She is the starting and ending point. The humans should learn to accept the birth and death in the same sense; the one who has that mindset is good devotee to the Divine mother. With such meanings, Hakini Devi is seated in sixth and key Ajna chakra.

Namams 475 to 534 represent the Divine Mother’s Yogini forms.

The Divine Mother’s Representative Hakini yogin residing in the Ajna chakra pericarp in two-petaled lotus, She is fond of food seasoned with turmeric. In many Shiva and Vishnu temples, turmeric mixed rice is usually distributed as prasadam, after offering to the deities in there.

The turmeric mixed and cooked rice is called Haridrannam. Hakini Devi is fond of this type of yellow coloured food.

The turmeric addition to rice gives the yellow colour. The turmeric eliminates the disease in the body. Saffron flower is sometimes added to give reddish yellow colour and good flavor. Such prepared food gives strength to the body. People eat the yellow-coloured food that had been offered to the Divine Mother and later distributed to them. Yellow coloured food with turmeric is much liked by Hakini Devi and the Divine Mother is the message to devotees that turmeric mixed food is good for them. By eating such food, their body is strengthened. For this reason, the Divine Mother is said to like turmeric powder mixed food.

For those in Brahamacharyam, this Majja increases their body strength many folds. For people having a “pure” life, this Majja strength is more for their body.  For yogins this Majja is a place for divine shakti. The Divine Mother, through Hakini Devi is presiding deity for bone marrow.

Majja is within the bones. The Hakini Devi resides within the bones in Majja as its presiding deity.

Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 523 Shri Shadanana (ōṃ ṣaḍānanāyai namaḥ)

Namams 475 to 534 represent the Divine Mother’s Yogini forms.

The Divine Mother as Hakini yogin is residing in the Ajna chakra in two-petaled lotus. She has six faces.

Ajna chakra is considered the sphere of intellect. With Her six faces, Hakini Devi represents six sastras or branches of knowledge.

Six faces form the base for all six chakras in living beings. When these six plus one jnana senses are joined together, we get pure Shiva rupam. When six jnana senses are together, they represent a matured soul. In each jnana sense different types of souls are placed. Plants have the sensitivity as only with one jnana sense. They live through one such attribute and achieve large results. Sensing using the nose to smell, and eating are the jnana capacities for the ants, and they live happily. Face here represents a tattva implication. Bees have taste, light, moving, noise, and smell are the five jnana senses. Birds and animals have five senses and live happily. The humans have intelligence as their sixth jnana sense and are qualified to reach the Brahman.

How six jnana knowledge or six faces are used to reach Brahman is explained by six faced Lord Muruga worshipped in most part of India now; Muruga as in southern parts of Indai; Kartigeya or Subramaniya in northern parts of India. Great Poet Kalidasa had written “Kumara Sambhavam” on birth of Lord Muruga have six faces  to represent what have been discussed earlier.  Lord Muruga’s mother, the Divine Mother also has six faces as in Hakini Devi.

Ajna chakra is the place for mind. The five elements Akasa, Vayu, Fire, Water and Earth plus mind are explained in six faces here. Ajna chakra is the leading chakra in all the chakras. So there the Divine Mother functions with six faces.

Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 522 Shri Sukla varna (ōṃ śuklavarṇāyai namaḥ)

Namams 475 to 534 represent the Divine Mother’s Yogini forms.

The Divine Mother as Hakini yogin is residing in the Ajna chakra on two-petaled lotus. She is white in colour. The Ajna chakra is the seat of the Chandra mandala, the disc of the Moon, and hence it has whiteness.

If there is any dirt, the white colour will display it clearly. Pure white colour is the symbol for purity. All basic seven colours, if joined give white colour. White colour is beyond all colour tattvas. When the whitish ice is put in a hot water, it turns into colorless water. Anything that is purified reaches the white colour. Lord Shiva and Goddess Sarasvati are white in colour; Due to unison with Lord Shiva, the Divine Mother gets the whitish colour also.

Yajur Veda is said to be in two sections, namly Shukla Yajur veda followed mostly in Northern parts of India and Krishna Yajur veda followed mostly in southern parts of India. Shukla is white in colour; and Krishna is Balck in colour. This is to give a reference to Hakini Devi’s whitish colour.

Namams 475 to 534 represent the Divine Mother’s Yogini forms.

The Divine Mother as Hakini yogin is residing in the Ajna chakra on two-petaled lotus.

Hakini Devi is residing in two-petaled Ajna, the sixth chakra. The Ajna chakra has special glory with it. When a yogi is meditating, Kundalani shakti starts from Muladhara, through sushumna nadi goes through Svadhishtana, Manipurka, Anahata, Vishuddi chakras and reaches Ajna chakra. By then, the yogi, by the Divine Mother’s grace, gets excellent Chit (knowledge and wisdom), giving him all what he had desired. Yogin should offer this Chit to the Brahman; when he used such chit for his personal needs, as we see these days with some religious Gurus in India, he is bound to lose that Chit knowledge soon.

Hakini Devi is meditated up on as follows: “We meditate on Hakini, residing between the eyebrows, in the two-petaled Bindu-lotus. She is white in colour, holding Jnana mudra, drum, lotus, mala (necklace) of rudraksa beads and skull. She is six faced, three eyed, attended by Hamsavathi and one other shakti, fond of food seasoned with turmeric and bestowing good on all others.”

Namams 475 to 534 represents the Divine Mother’s Yogini forms.

The Divine Mother as Sakini yogin in the Muladhara chakra on four -petaled lotus. She is fond of mudga (a lentil) made food offerings; mudga is green gram. Pongal.

Mudga is the key ingredient in preparation of Mudgaudanam, especially liked by Sakini Devi. It is prepared as follows: 32 parts raw and non-boiled rice, 16 parts of mudga, 8 parts of Jaggeri or raw sugar, 8 parts of shredded coconut, 2 parts pepper, one part salt, half part cumin (Jeeragam), 8 parts of ghee, mixed with cow milk is cooked in light fire to make a mudgaudanam. Sakiini Devi is very fond of mudgaudanam.

It is very nutritious food which the Divine Mother likes very much; the humans put in extra efforts in preparation, which becomes correct for offering to the Divine Mother, when that is offered as prasadam and later taken by the humans. It helps them to seek divine guidance, which is essential for his maturity towards Brahman.

Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 518 Shri Varadadi Nisevita (ōṃ varadādi niṣēvitāyai namaḥ)

Namams 475 to 534 represents the Divine Mother’s Yogini forms.

The Divine Mother is Sakini yogin in the Muladhara chakra in four -petaled lotus. She is attended by, the four shaktis Varada, Sri Devi, Shanda, and Sarasvati.

Varada Devi grants all the desired things what the devotees is seeking. We can get all we want from the nature as the Divine Mother. She is ever ready to grant the boon. The devotee needs to be ready himself for getting such boon. Instead of begging for the boon, it is ideal to prepare oneself to be eligible for the boon from the Divine Mother.

Sri Devi is the second Devi providing material wealth. For those who have Her blessings, there is no shortage of material wealth. By doing the proper work and putting in correct effort, one can get all the material wealth he needs.

Shanda is the third shakti; She does not have any signs of feminist. In appearance She is a shakti, yet those who take the female form do not get all the female attributes. In natural process, such form  is possible is the message from Shanda shakti.

Fourth shakti is Sarasvati, who responsible for all arts and knowledge. The humans are obliged to learn various forms of arts during their lifetime. Those who do not want to learn the new knowledge, cannot achieve greater life.   By having the blessings from Sarasvati Devi, the humans can get all kinds of knowledge is the proof.

In Muladhara chakra four-petaled lotus, there are four syllables meaning Varada, Sri Devi, Shanda, and Sarasvathi. They are the four Devis attending to the Sakini Devi and the Divine Mother.

The Sakini Devi is the Divine Mother in Muladhara chakra.

Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 517 Shri Ankusadi praharana (ōṃ aṅkuśādipraharaṇāyai namaḥ)

Namams 475 to 534 represents the Divine Mother’s Yogini forms.

The Divine Mother as Sakini yogin in the Muladhara cakra in four -petaled lotus. She holds the goad, lotus, the mudra (a posture of the hand) of knowledge and a book in Her one of the arms as indicated in meditation verge.

Ankusam is used to control the elephant; it is a symbol for human’s life. The humans ought to use their humbleness as their Ankusam.

She is holding the lotus as her second weapon. Lotus is a superior flower considered equal to divinity. Lotus is a weapon as it destroys the stressed and disturbed mind. The soiled flower cannot be used; likewise, the humans’ mind if spoiled will not be useful for life. The mind must be kept a fresh is the message in having a lotus as a weapon by the Divine Mother.

Her third weapon is a book to indicate that the human need to increase their knowledge. They ought not to slow down in their pursue for the knowledge. Book and knowledge help to eliminate the ignorance and they become weapons.

Her fourth weapon is cinmudra, a posture of the hand. Thumb and next finger are joined together and other three fingers are separated out. Through this cinmudra posture, many things can be explained. Lord Dakshinamoorthy (a form of Lord Shiva) holds this cinmudra.  Thumb represents Brahma tattva and next finger represents life tattva. The other three fingers represent vengeance, maya and anger. The humans must separate themselves from those three malas to reach the Brahman. People who do meditation have to use the lessons from citmudra which leads to Brahman.

Hara is Lord Shiva; harara means to take away (our evils). This Namam has the meaning that the Divine Mother with Her four weapons is ready to use them to protect Her devotees and  to take away the devotee’s evils.

Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 516 Shri Asthi samsthita (ōṃ asthisaṃsthitāyai namaḥ)

Namams 475 to 534 represents the Divine Mother’s Yogini forms.

The Divine Mother as Sakini yogin in the Muladhara chakra in four -petaled lotus. She is living in the form of Medhas (Bone Marrow) of living beings.  She is the presiding deity of the skeleton (bones) in living beings. Sakini Devi considers bones as Her responsibility as She had chosen to live in the bones of living beings.

In a bird’s egg, there is no hardened substance. However, when the egg is hatched into a small bird, it has bones in it. Living human’s bindu when turns into a child, bone is created. In human body, citshakti is there for sensing purposes and jadashakti for nonmoving states. Skin and fat have senses. Jadshakti based bones have no senses. When the body grows, the bones also grow; broken bones can be joined together. So, there is little difference between citshakti and jadashakti in a human body.

The body when used for pleasure faces the detriment, whereas the body used for penance or meditation starts to grow. The humans can convert their body as equal to vajrautha, a strong weapon. The bone can be strengthened with meditation. Sakini Devi is in the bone form.

The Divine Mother as Sakini yogin is residing in the Muladhara chakra in four-petaled lotus.  She has five faces.

The Divine Mother’s five faces represent the five sense organs such as eye, ear, mouth, nose, and skin. For the birds, animals, and humans these organs have reached the higher level. The universal beings depending upon their maturity are taking the various forms of the Divine Mother. To use five organs for divine needs is possible for the humans which will be a form of worship to the Divine Mother.

Muladhara is the place for Prithvi tattva, in which the other four elements (Akasa, Vayu, Fire and Water) are present. This Muladhara chakra also represent the additional element Earth. Sakini Devi’s abode is in there.

Four of the five faces are turned to four directions namely north, south, east, and west; the fifth face is looking
