Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 514 Shri Muladharambujarudha (ōṃ mūlādhārāmbujārūḍhāyai namaḥ)

In Namams 475 to 534 represents the Divine Mother’s Yogini forms.

The Divine Mother as Sakini yogin is residing in the Muladhara chakra on a four -petaled lotus.  She is surrounded by four amrta (immorality) shaktis.

In general, the devotee is not to meditate on Muladhara, Svadhishtana and Manipuraka chakra Devis. If he does, then his worldly needs and desires will only come to his mind. Higher level thinking will not appear here. He ought to keep his favourite deity in his Anhata chakra lotus and meditate. For example, to build a house, foundation is needed which is not in view and nobody looks for it in a house; likewise, the first three chakra meditation is not normally recommended.

Four-petaled lotus in Muladhara is the base for the Kundalini in the anal for the humans. Sakini Devi’s abode is in there.

She is meditated on as follows: We meditate on Sakini, who resides on four-petaled Muladhara lotus. Five faced, three eyed, smoke coloured, presiding over the bones in living beings. She is having in Her hands the goad, lotus, book, and gyana mudra (the sign of Knowledge). She is attended by gentle Varada and three other deities. She is fond of eating mudga beans and drinking mead.

Achariya Adi Sankara in his Soundarya Lahari verse 41 explained the Muladhara chakra details, as shown in refence 4 below.

Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 509 Shri Medo nistha (ōṃ mēdōniṣṭhāyai namaḥ)

In Namams 475 to 534 represents the Divine Mother’s Yogini forms.

The Divine Mother as Kakini yogin is residing in the Svadhisthana chakra in six-petaled lotus. She is living in the body fat of the universal beings.

Kakini Devi controls medas or fat in living beings. Fat is required for a growing living body. For any machine, the moving parts should be lubricated. There will be no friction if the oily lubricant is present. The human being without fat is considered a dried object. The one with inadequate self-physical power is called a useless person; ideally such smallness should not come from the body fat content. However, when such fat increases beyond a certain acceptable level, the individual gets pride.

The fat in acceptable level in a human is due to divine grace, which will lead for the individual to seek limited pride. When he overcomes such limited pride to reach higher level; so, the fat is important for humans. Lower-level fat can be corrected to right level. Once the fat is used properly, the human being improves in maturity. This is the basic reason; the Divine Mother is residing in the fat of universal beings to show to Her devotees.

Body fat converts into medas. It has a slightly yellow mixed reddish colour. The Divine Mother is controlling such medas in all universal beings.

Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 508 Shri Ati garvita (ōṃ atigarvitāyai namaḥ)

In Namams 475 to 534 represents the Divine Mother’s Yogini forms.

The Divine Mother as Kakini yogin is residing in the Svadhishtana chakra in six-petaled lotus. She is very proud, about Her weapons and captivating beauty.

Being proud is not to be praised. This leads to lower maturity and resulting impurities are not fully recovered in the end. The poor man does not become proud due to his poverty. But the wealthy becomes proud for his wealthy status. Maturity is important in life. Wealth is due to his efforts, but he is also proud due to his achievement of wealth. Being proud is considered inferior quality but the pride had come about due to his efforts, which is indirectly the grace of the divinity, the Divine Mother.

Universal beings, forms of the Divine Mother, due to the Divine Mother’s divinity in them get their pride. This is acceptable in general and not against the Divine Mother. “I am not useful” pulls an individual to a lower level. But if someone considers the good qualities in him, that attitude takes him further up; such proud quality is acceptable. The humans having proud quality is considered the blessings of the Divine Mother. The devotee must surpass such proud quality to reach higher maturity. Being proud Herself, the Divine Mother is teaching that being proud to people to go beyond to higher plane of maturity. This is one of the lessons in this Namam “Ati garvita”.

Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 507 Shri Peeta Varna (ōṃ pītavarṇāyai namaḥ)

In Namams 475 to 534 represents the Divine Mother’s Yogini forms.

The Divine Mother as Kakini yogin is residing in the Svadhishtana chakra in six-petaled lotus. She is light yellowish in colour. Peeta means light yellowish colour.

The white light passing through a lens split into seven colours. The Brahman is beyond all these colours. The same Brahman when it shows as Maya shakti, it shows its seven colours. The Divine Mother is also called as having golden body.  The humans have their mindset change with the kind of colourful dress worn by them. Some colours take our minds to higher plane; some others take our minds to lowest level with attachments to worldly affairs. Yellow and reddish help in the determination to leave attachment to the worldly affairs. Yellow helps in increasing the devotion. When we research on the colours, we can see many aspects and glories of the Divine Mother. Kakini Devi is in light yellowish colour.

Kakini devi as light yellowish in colour as she resides in the fat in all beings.

Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 506 Shri Suladyaudha sampanna (ōṃ śūlādyāyudhasampannāyai namaḥ)

In Namams 475 to 534 represents the Divine Mother’s Yogini forms.

The Divine Mother as Kakini yogin is residing in the Svadhishtana chakra in six-petaled lotus. She has the trident, noose (rope), skull and abhaya mudra in Her four arms.

We seek attachment with the beings that are in line with our thinking or with us and distance ourselves with the ones who cause harm to us. The Divine Mother likes attachment to Her devotees, but She, is also hard on her enemies with the weapons like trident. In earlier Namam 8 ‘Raga svarrupa pasadhya’ with the meaning that She is holding the noose(rope) or Pasa in one of Her hands, the weapon pasa is described. Pasa is the attachment which the soul has and by having the pasa in Her hands, the Divine Mother, is explaining the need to eliminate the attachments in humans. The other one is the abahaya mudra to eliminate the fear in Her devotees.

The trident in her hand represents knowledge. There is knowledge and Brahma jnana where Lord Shiva is there with trident. The Divine Mother through Her unison with Lord Shiva and with the trident on Her arm, also gives the knowledge to Her devotees.

Kakini Devi has the skull in another hand. Brahma is the creator of the universal beings under the Divine Mother’s commands. The yogins leave all the worldly attachments and consider themselves as dead, even though their physical body is present in this earth. They have only Bhakti to the Almighty; skull is the representation of this concept. The skull is reminding that worldly life is meaningless. Even the ugly and unliked skull as may be, is being worshipped here along with the Divine Mother, who explains the life tattvas with four weapons.

The four faces are very attractive. There are many tattvas in number four here.

From blood flow, the flesh is nourished all over the body, which ought to be appropriate and good.  To maintain the good, fleshed body is a form of the Divine Mother worship, without which it is difficult to reach the Brahman.

We can understand the state of anything from its skills displayed. Good plants have green colour appearance. Well grown universal beings have blood in their whole body. Having full blood is a key for life tattva.

By studying someone’s blood content, his disease can be determined and cured. With Kamam and krodam, the person suffers impurity in his blood. With divine thinking, the blood gets purified, and the disease gets cured.

By meditating on red coloured the Divine mother, the devotee gets more shakti. So, people use reddish kunkumam on their foreheads to represent the Divine Mother’s reddish complexion.

Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 498 Shri Damaryadibhir avrta (ōṃ ḍāmaryādibhirāvṛtāyai namaḥ)

In Namams 475 to 534 represents the Divine Mother’s Yogini forms.

The Divine Mother as Lakini yoginis is residing in the Manipuraka chakra in ten-petaled lotus. She is surrounded by Damari Devi and nine other shaktis.

Those attending ten deities’ names are listed in “Pujapaddhati”; they are as follows: DAmari, DankAri, NArNA, tAmasi, SthANvi, dAkshAyaNi, dAtri, nAri, PArvati and PhaTkAriNi.

Like ten syllables there are the ten deities surrounding the Lakini Devi in Manipuraka chakra. Depending upon our mindset, studying about these deities is a good form of worshipping the Divine Mother.

With three faces Lakini Devi n Manipuraka chakra.
