Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 582: Shri Maha samrajya salini (ōṃ mahāsāmrājyaśālinyai namaḥ)

The Divine Mother controls the great empire of three worlds in this Universe.

The Divine Mother is the Empresses of the praiseable great empire. All the small kingdoms under one larger King or Emperor are called Mahasamrajya or great empire.  All billions of universal beings are created and ruled by the Divine Mother. She takes care of them for their comfortable levels and for Her as well. Those who understand Her, worship Her and become Her favourite citizens of Her empire. Her devotees both male and female are all becoming Her fvaourite Baktas. For them to think about the best rulings of the Divine Mother is a form of worship to Her.

As we have seen, the Divine Mother is the Empress of the great empire of the universe which She created. The king who rules a group of small kingdoms is called Samrat. If one rules many such Samrats, then he becomes the Mahasamrat.  His strength, ruling capability and the area, his rules is called Maha Samrajam. The Divine Mother is holding such a big Mahasamrajam of the universe under Her command. She is the Empress. Lord Eswaran (Shiva) is the Emperor of this Mahasamrajam, who is assisting the Divine Mother in ruling the Universal Mahasamrajam.

This great empire may mean “Maha kailasa.” This namam can be interpreted as “She who sports in Mahakailasa in complete freedom.”

Mahakailasa is the base of the Divine Mother’s Mahasamrajam.
