The Divine Mother is sacred knowledge. The 15 syllables Panchadasakshri mantra is known as Srividya; it is superior to all other mantras.
The Divine Mother is in Srividya rupam; Sri means immense beauty. Wherever there is beauty, the Divine Mother’s presence is felt. Wherever there are divinity aspects or the Divine Mother’s presence, internal bliss is present. What we cannot see, but the glories of the Divine Mother are spreading in this universe. The Divine Mother does not even measure them, who else can measure such glories of Her’s?
There are four sections of Srividya as described below.
1.
One of them is yagnavidya; this considers all
universal things and karmas as forms of the Divine Mother.
2.
To be devotional to the Divine Mother is
Mahavidya; Her blessings and glories are present in everything. The devotees
both male and female have their way of devotion to the Divine Mother.
3.
The third type is based on sound coming from the
Divine Mother. She is in this mantra japam form, like Gayatri mantra. Divine
words were got by yogins. Depending upon one’s level of devotion to the Divine
Mother, one gets the light and blessing from the Divine Mother.
4. Due to jnana, learning all universal aspects and reaching the Ultimate Brahman is the final Liberation. For all souls, the Brahman is the originating point. A very small portion of it had been taken to form the universe and souls. This is called the Brahmavidya, which has been explained in many ways. Brahman and the Divine Mother are one and the same.
The Vishnu Purana says that the vidya (knowledge) is a form
of the Divine Mother. “O Devi, Thou art the science of sacrifices, the secret
knowledge of the Self, which gives Liberation, in addition, Thou are the
science of trade and justice.” All these forms of knowledge lead to Srividya”.
