In Namams 91 to 111, we will be seeing the Divine Mother’s
subtle Mantra- Rupam.
The Divine Mother belongs to Kula.
Kula had been described in many ways. The Divine Mother is
referred as Kula. Lord Siva is referred to as Akula, is a svayambhu, born by Himself
with no Kula or family background behind him.
Kaula is the Supreme Essence that links Kula and Akula. This relationship
is called Kaulini. Yogam is Union of Lord Siva and the Divine Mother. This is
similar to Namam 999 “Sivasaktyaikyarupini” which we will be seeing later.
The thousand petals lotus in the Sahasrara chakra is Kula. There
is a deity in each petal. The total flower is the Divine Mother. Thus She is
known as Kaulini. She presides over all deities in the Kula.
Kaulini is also one of the Vak devis. Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam
is said to have been composed by eight Vak Devis as instructed by Goddess Lalitha.
