In Namams 475 to 534 represents the Divine Mother’s Yogini forms.
The Divine Mother as Lakini yogin is residing in the Manipuraka chakra in ten-petaled lotus. She is fond of sweet rice made with raw sugar (Jagaery or Vellam).
Food (rice) cooked with raw sugar is called gudanna. By offering gudanna to the Divine Mother and later eating it, the universal beings please the Divine Mother. She is fond of and satisfied with sweet rice or pongal.
The Divine Mother is in innumerable number of universal beings’ forms. All the satisfaction achieved by such beings is due the Divine Mother’s grace to them. Such beings like and live on all kinds of foods, some of the foods are good for building body flesh. Such good food which is available to the universal beings is provided by the Divine Mother.
The sweet rice is good for body strength
building. Such food should be offered nivathiyam to the Divine Mother, before being
consumed as Prasadam by universal beings. Some people eat too much good food
thereby wasting and getting health issues. By taking controlled amount of good
food, the universal beings have an acceptable body level as provided by the
Divine Mother.
