Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 772: Shri Duradharsa (ōṃ durādharṣāyai namaḥ)

The Divine Mother is difficult to control.

Nobody can win over the Divine Mother. She is eternally the Maha Shakti, the Divine Mother. There are no asuras who can win over Her. Aggressive and cruel asuras think that there is no one to win them over. They got their strength from the Divine Mother; they assume arrogantly that they can win over even the Divine Mother. At appropriate times, She will win them and rule over them. This power of the Divine Mother is fully described in the Devi Mahatmyam, in the destruction of Madhu and Kaitapa, Chand and Munda, and Shumbha and Nishumba.

No one can go against Her. Those who have Her blessings are fortunate people. Those who try to go against and discord Her rules will fail.

The Sruthi says, “The Self is not attained by the feeble.” Only an upasaka with extraordinary mental strength can win the Divine Mother over. This takes constant worshipping over a very long period.

The Divine Mother is difficult to control.
