The Divine Mother takes all Her creations (the entire Universe) in one hand and swallows it. She is the divine devourer at the time of dissolution of (Pralaya) . She is a great devourer.
Her creations in the wider universe seem to be unrelated. The Sun and other planets in the solar system are all functioning independently, but they are all related to Sun’s pulling force. No planet can run away on its own. These universal movements are all possible by the grace of the Divine Mother.
During pralaya all Her creations merge with Her. Like a lizard swallowing insects, She consumes all these universes during pralaya in a split second.
She devours everything including Brahma, Vishnu, and Rudra at the end of epoch or pralaya. Katha Upanishad (I: 11:25) says that for all devouring Brahman or the Divine Mother death (Yama) is just a side-dish.
