From Namam 112 to 131, we will see
the devotion aspects in the Divine Mother worship
The
Divine Mother is the consort of Siva Sambhu.
Sambhu is the giver of prosperity and happiness.
Sambhu is the giver of prosperity and happiness.
This
Namam can be interpreted to mean that Sambhavi is the mother to those who
worship Lord Shiva.
Sambhu
is a Mudra or hand gesture used in worship. The Sambhavi Mudra is used in Hatha
yoga and in Tantra. The Divine Mother uses this Sambhavi Mudra while accepting
the devotees, in accordance with their yoga.
In
worship, there are three types of initiations: Sambhavi, Mantra and Sakti. The
initiation used for the Divine Mother’s worship is called Sambhavi.
Sambhavi
is also an eight year old girl. The Divine Mother worship is performed to a
young girl, who has not come up in age. This worship is called the Kumari puja.
Greatness
and youthfulness are present in Sambhavi’s blessings; She also bestows
sweetness to Her devotees.
The 8th day
(MahaAstami) prayer to Goddess, during Navarathri is done in reverence to
Sambhavi. The Divine Mother has all the qualities of Sambhavi Devi.
