The Divine Mother holds an Ankusam (similar to a goad used to
control a mad elephant with sharp edges) to manage the dislikes by the souls.
She holds this Ankusam in one of her four hands. From last namam, we know that
she also holds a Pasam in one of her other hands.
All souls at various stages of growth and maturity have to
face the enemies. This is a process designed by the nature. The ability to face
and manage the enemies in life is a key learning skill needed for the souls.
Such enemies will even destroy the souls. It is essential for the soul to fight
such enemies. However much the souls are able to overcome many times such
enemies, the souls are to be reborn again and again to deal with such
destroying enemies. This is an important training the souls have to go through
with the Divine Mother’s support. The Divine Mother allows the souls to be
reborn and face enemies. This is a process for the souls to grow and be matured
to be nearer to the Almighty.
From the last namam, we understood that the Divine Mother has
the Pasam in one of her hands to create an attachment in souls at various
stages. From this namam we understand that the Divine Mother also has an
Ankusam in another hand. All these supporting weapons are for helping the
devotees to attain higher stages in their life cycle to be nearing the
Almighty.
