Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 348: Shri Vandya (OM vandyAyai namaH)

In Namams 275 to365, the Divine Mother’s  many forms providing benefits to Her devotees in great details are discussed. 

The Divine Mother is adorable; She is worthy of grand worship. 

The Divine Mother is worshipped as the Infinite Universal Mother. She is praised in Her five elements form. It is a kind of worship to use the natural resources well and nature’s each season. The humans praise natural beautiful happenings such as lightening, thunder and rain. The Divine Mother is the owner of all such wonderful happenings in this universe. She is worshipped as Vandya. 

The Divine Mother’s worship done by all beings in this universe had been brought out by many great sages. Like Adi Sankara in Soundarya Lahari indicates this as: “O, Devi, Thou art worshipped by Vishnu, Shiva, Brahma and others.”
