Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 323: Shri Kadamba kusuma priya (OM kadambakusumapriyAyai namaH)

In Namams 275 to365, the Divine Mother’s  many forms providing benefits to Her devotees in great details are discussed.

The Divine Mother is fond of and likes very much the Kadamba flowers.

She likes all flowers; She, Herself is in all flower forms. It is customary and also a tradition to identify certain flowers as Her favourite. Each flower type has a magic in it. Flowers have the ability to attract several of our senses with their variety of colours, softness and taste etc. It will be evident to those flower researchers that the nature has such beauty in each flower type.

Madurai Meenatchi amman temple once had been surrounded by Kadamba trees. Also the Sri Nagaram, the abode of the Divine mother,  is said to be surrounded by Kadambavanam or Kadamba forest; there is Namam (60) Kadaambavavasini which we saw earlier.

The Divine Mother lives in a place surrounded by Kadamba trees, which She loves very much.

The Divine Mother is fond of Kadamba flowers.
