The Divine Mother is pure compassion.
She is gracious and compassionate by nature. A person shares his miserable state with a person who has compassion. A compassionate person provides as much help as he can to the miserable person. The Divine Mother naturally understands the state of Her devotees. She grants all those things needed to devotees without them asking. When the sleeping child wakes up, its mother will have prepared all the things the child would need. These are signs of natural kindness. All females in this universe are in the Divine Mother’s forms, so, they show their natural kindness to their own children, relatives and all others. All kind good people have divine aspect within them. The Divine Mother grants such grace and kindness without any blockage to all Her devotees. This is the nature of the Divine Mother spreading Her compassion all through the universe.
She has immense grace and compassion, those of which cannot be measured and expected from general humans. A normal human being actions are done on expectations that they will lead to gains for him. This natural expectation for humans. People expect the gains to be greater than the value of their actions. It is like getting an interest for the money lent. Each person expects positive returns for his kind actions. The Divine Mother’s kindness does not expect anything in return. Without expecting anything from the son, the mother carries him for ten months within her and helps him grow in her natural kindness. The Divine Mother’s kindness is like this and much more. The Divine Mother is totally kind. She is Karuna murtih. In Soundarya Lahari verge 93. Adi Shankara explained more about the Divine Mother’s kindness.
The Divine Mother is embodiment of unalloyed grace and compassion. She is nothing but kind. It is easy for the children, who are deluded by the desire for worldly objects, to err in their paths. They may not even know that they have erred. Infinitely, undeluded compassion is needed to condone such mistakes. The constant distraction by the children or their mistakes do not tarnish a mother’s kindness at all. In fact, a mother shows greater love and compassion for a child who has lost its way. That is real evidence of kindness.
The
Divine Mother is pure compassion.
