The Divine Mother is the ruler of tenth mudras, the Trikhanda.
She is the Isvari or Ruler of the three Khandas namely, Sun, Moon, and Agni.
Ten mudras are the essential ones to pray to the Divine Mother; of these, the last, the tenth mudra is called Trikhanda mudra. This is also called Maha yogini mudra. For Sun, Moon and Agni khandas (sections), the Divine Mother functions as Isvari or the ruler. These three are essentially providing the light needed for all living beings in the universe. Sun, Moon and Agni are considered the key in the Divine Mother’s worship.
She is the leader of the Trikhanda mudra. Sarva Trikhanda mudra as it is called also, is the tenth mudra. After ninth fort pooja, we pray to the Divine Mother in Bindu. We use Shodasari or Pancadasi and Trikhanda mudra to pray to the Isvari. It will be absolutely blissful to get to worship the Divine Mother using such mantras and mudras.
The three khandas or sections referred to here are for Soma, Suriya and Agni khandas (Moon, Sun and fire respectively). These are the general sections referred to on this Namam, and the Divine Mother is presiding deity for all of them. In particular, the three kutas or sections of the Pancadasi (the fifteen syllabled mantra) are referred here. The Divine Mother is, of course, the Goddess of Pancadasi mantra.
