Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 201: Shri Sadhgati prada (OM sadgatipradAyai namaH)

In Namams 199 to 248, the Divine Mother’s  Saguna or infiniteness power and glory are described.

The Divine Mother is leading the devotees in right path to ultimate salvation.

When a soul is maturing to be a human, it is trying to gain the knowledge (gati) of Brahman. We do see that some souls move in opposite direction. Under the Divine Mother’s guidance, such negatives will be corrected in those souls. However, there are examples such as Ravanan had been killed by Shri Rama. All the demons grieved on Ravana’s death. Ravana’s death is not negative for his soul as his unfit body in present birth had been destroyed. He was cleared of his evilness to seek Lord Siva’s blessings. Things that look bad or negative now will turn out to be well given the time. Likewise, all evil actions by Her devotees will be cleared. The devotees further can look for salvation to avoid the cycle of birth and death cycle.

The Divine Mother gives devotees’ expectations. If their wish is for reaching the Supreme Self, they may get the liberation (moksa). The Divine Mother grants what is sought out by the devotees. In addition, She gives them the knowledge to understand the ultimate Supreme State. Finally She leads Her devotees to reach the Brahman. This Brahman is Herself in unison with Lord Siva. That implies that She even gives Her own state to Her devotees.

The Divine Mother grants what we need, rather than what we ask for, such as Tharma, Artha (wealth) and Kama for our present life needs. She then guide us to moksa, the final liberation which is Sad gati

Further this Namam can be explained as follows:

Sadgati can mean that souls heavenly journey experience to final liberation (moksa).

Sad is Brahman and gati is knowledge. The Namam meaning can be understood that the Divine Mother gives knowledge of Supreme Self.

Sad is also means righteousness  and gati is refuge, leading to this Namam interpretation that She gives total refuge for those who are righteous.
