Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 721: Shri Komalangi (ōṃ kōmalāṅgyai namaḥ)

From Namam 684 to 741 the glories of the Divine Mother are discussed.

The Divine Mother has beautiful limbs. Her entire form and structure are beautiful.

The Divine Mother has beautiful soft organs and an entirely beautiful structure. Soft, beautiful, and auspicious forms of body organs are an indication of an evolved being.

The Divine Mother is said to possess all the attributes of perfection in beauty. ( Samuthrika lakshnam) . The Laltha saghasranama has a detailed decsribtion of the Divine Mother’s from tip to toe (Kesadipadam). Please see earlier Namas 19 to 51 for this detailed description of the divine Mother’s beauty.

All universal beings are part of the Divine Mother and Her structure, with which they look simply beautiful. There are many aspects in the universe to make them attractive. Such attributes make the soul gain higher status, to grow its devotion to the Divine Mother. To focus our mind on such universal beauty is a form of worship of the Divine Mother. She is called ‘Komalangi’ The Divine Mother’s soft, beautiful, auspicious, and attractive body structure is praised in this Nama ‘Komalangi’.
