From Nama 684 to 741 the glories of the Divine Mother are discussed.
The Divine Mother is the Consciousness in Para-Brahman. Kala means part; “Chit is consciousness”.
The Divine Mother is in the form of Chit (consciousness). Para-Brahman and the Divine Mother are Sat-Chit- Ananda rupam. Supreme Knowledge (Brahman) is beyond comprehension. From such knowledge, a small portion for the sake of souls is shown as various Kalas. The seven colours in Sun’s rays are its Chitkala. Without Sun, seven colours would not been seen. Likewise, for all the Kalas, Chit rupam is the base. Singing, speaking, and drawing are the types of Kalas resulting from Chit. Debating skill is Kala form. Chit starts with such kala and enjoyment. The person who draws a picture, steps back to enjoy it; it is the Chit rupam in him.
The Divine Mother is in all such activities. For the universe which She created, She is in Chit rupam. Good music and speech are granted by Her. The Chit rupam is the basis. So, this Nama Chitkala is fitting for the Divine Mother.
The Divine Mother is the consciousness inherent in Para-Brahman, who is Sat-Chit-Ananda which is Existence-Consciousness-Bliss. It is not implying that existence, consciousness, and bliss are three separate parts of the Para-Brahman; only that Chit (consciousness) aspect is emphasized in this present Nama.
The Divine Mother is the consciousness
in Para-Brahman.
