Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 726: Shri Sanakadi samaradhya (ōṃ sanakādisamārādhyāyai namaḥ)

From Namam 684 to 741 the glories of the Divine Mother are discussed.

The Divine Mother in Dakshina murthi form is worshipped by sage Sanaka and his brothers.

Sanaka and his brothers worshipped the Divine Mother in Dashinam. Sanaka, Sanantana, Sanandana, and Sanatkumara are four brothers. These sages are the four sons of Brahma. They reached the highest level in Yoga, in fully mature state. The Ultimate Guru Shiva was their Guru.. The Divine Mother being the life of all universal creatures is beyond all of them. Those four sages always worshipped the Divine Mother, and they excelled in their worship. Therefore, She is known as ‘Sanakadi Samaradhya’.

The four sages with others have said to have prescribed the worshipping guidelines for the Divine Mother in Dakshinamurti rupam. She was worshipped as Dakishinamurti by the four of them. Those four sages, Vasishta and Shuka are said to have prescribed the five rites for worshipping the Divine Mother. She is worshipped by such prescribed rites.

Brahmanda Purana says.’ Thou art beginningless, whole and in the form of all cause and effect. Yogis such as Sanaka are searching for none other than YOU’. Here searching means worshipping according to all the prescribed rites for the Divine Mother.

The Divine Mother is worshipped by Sanaka and other sages.
