The Divine Mother is Resplendent (attractive and impressive with richly colourful) with all kinds of ornaments on her body.

She shines using many ornaments from crown on Her head to gem studded ornaments on her body. The Kalika puranam is said to list forty ornaments for Her to wear from head to toe. However, there is no limit to Her ornaments in this universe.

If anyone has a poor/ugly figure or any other defect in the body, then in general ornaments can help the person to hide such negative things in the body. The Divine mother is totally faultless. These ornaments add further beauty to Her. However, these ornaments cannot fully improve the Divine Mother’s beauty. These ornaments in fact become merely decorative items on Her due to Her beautifulness. She is shinning on Her own powerful strength as the lady Emperor ruling the universe. Also as compared to Lord Siva, who is said to wear things like snakes and river Ganga, the Divine Mother’s is wearing mostly shinning gem studded ornaments.

Kalika Puranam: is one of the eighteen minor ancient Hindu puranas, mostly used in Bengal and in Assam in India.

The Corona Virus Global issue: An Astrological view

Sometime early in December 2019, more planets joined together in Thanusu Rasi. Many astrologers were doing “you tube” videos creating a sense of fear among the common man. Ultimately not much harm seemed to have happened by such combinations.

Per Ramanathapuram Vakiya panjangam,

Now Saturn, Guru (Jupiter), Kethu and Mars are together in Thanusu rasi from 09 February 2020.

Mars will move to Maragam on 22 March 2020. This means Mars is separating out from this combination. Also Guru temporarily moves to Magaram to be with Mars on 27 March 2020.

Mars usually gives blood related problems and being with Saturn, it will normally create natural calamity in the ocean tsunami types or earth quake, major unnatural accidents, famine etc. Also the Kethu is responsible for poisonous activities. These all had combined to cause such a Virus calamity at global level.

Thinking out of box, hopefully from 22 March 2020, that is when Mars moves away from this grouping, things will cool down. However since in next house Magaram, Mars will have peak power (Ucticham). This will create a knee jerk reaction to show a spike upwards first before dying down relatively in short time.

This is my one view. This had been checked with my fellow astrologically enthusiastic friends.

Let us hope and pray this Global virus problem will clear and be a thing of the past very soon.

Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 50: Shri Anavadyangi (OM anavadyA ~ Ngyai namaH)

This simple namam means that the Divine Mother’s body is worthy of worship from everyone in this universe.

We have seen in earlier namam that the Divine Mother is the treasure house of beauty. Her beautiful figure is blemish less and faultless, She has perfect limbs. She is free from all bondage. She is filled with absolute knowledge. When she came out of Yoga fire, the Devargal looked at Her adorable beauty many times. They got immense happiness by doing so. Such beauty of Hers gave a lots of pleasure to see Her repeatedly.

Every limb of Her body is venerable and glorious. Venerable can be termed as admired or accorded a great deal of respect because of age or wisdom or character or high position of importance. The glorious can be defined as having worthy of or becoming famous or gaining admiration. The Divine Mother has all the qualities to have venerable and glorious limbs.

The perfect limbs referred here are the best feminine features according to Samudrika Sastra.

Further the limbs described above are corresponding to gross form of the Divine Mother. The gross body is to experience the pleasure and pain, kind of dual to attain liberation. Existence, birth, growth, transformation and decay are the things associated with the gross body. The Divine Mother is taking Her gross body type to show Her grace to Her devotees.

The limbs of the cosmic form of the Divine Mother are indicative of the Universal creation starting from a small insect (creature) to Brahma. An article made with mud will have mud in it. Likewise any creation made with supreme consciousness is filled with consciousness.

This namam “Anavadyangi” refers to the Supreme Consciousness in the Divine Mother. For us the devotees by worshipping Her, we can brighten our intellect and eliminate our ignorance.

Adi Sankara in Soundariya lahari 34 th verge, also talks about Her worthiness to be worshipped.

Anavadyangi can split into two parts for understanding its Sanskrit meaning. This namam Anavadyangi is coined in such a way to understand the positive and negative aspects.

Anavadya: is just opposite of Avadya, meaning adorable, blemish less.

Avadya:  Fit to be condemned, not to be praised, defective, faulty, blamable, dislike, unfit to be told, low, inferior, sin, disagreeable.

Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 49: Shri Sarvaruna (OM sarvAruNAyai namaH)

The Divine Mother is red in colour. She is red everywhere. Her complexion is fully red.

At Gross level the Divine mother’s ornaments and dresses (garments) are described as or portrayed as red. Even after coming out of Yoga fire lit by the Devargal, her complexion is red in colour. It is not the effect of Yoga fire. Red is Her original colour.

At the subtle level, when the universal affairs such as creation, maintenance and destruction are considered in Her disposition, she is still red in colour. Her subtle level activities can be termed as rajasic, which means vibrant/passionate having more simulating effect on one’s mind. Rajasic is red in colour.

The Lord Siva has Prakasa or Prakasamsa, meaning intelligent illumination in the Lord showing the light or splendour.

The Divine Mother is Vimarsa or Vimasarsama, meaning divine deliberation united with Lord Siva or the inside knowledge preserving the unison. The colour is shown as red.

For example the jothi is a prakasa aspect while the light emanating from the jothi is vimasara aspect.

Sakthi or the Divine Mother is projected as a seed and the tree that is hidden in the seed is Maheswaran or Lord Siva.

We have seen in earlier namam; the Divine Mother’s colour to be equated to Aruna, the SUN god’s driver of chariot who brings out the red colour before SUN rises in the morning. Aruna is rosy red. The radiance form her body, from head to toe is Aruna or red in colour.

Sarvaruna refers to Siva Sakthi (the Divine Mother) couple in unison. Both have origin in Mountain.

May the Divine Mother’s Aruna (red) colour or brilliance take away the ignorance in us and guide us to the higher level of knowledge.

Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 48: Shri Maha Lavanya Sevadhih (OM mahAlAvaNyashevadhaye namaH)

The namam portrays the Divine Mother as the treasure house of unequalled beauty than anything else in this universe. She holds the treasures to all beauties in this universe.

What is beauty? Is beauty of any object is certain or a relative measure as perceived by the mind of the person who sees it? Beauty has been described and shown through pictures and concepts pertaining to our mind. It is a combination of qualities such as shape, colour or form that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially our eye sight.

Real genuine gems’ water mark flows will shine. Soft and beautiful body will shine like a genuine gem. The Divine Mother’s beauty flows and shines very much. This can be said to be a Lavanyam (grace, charming and shining immense beauty). Such good shining beauty had been well kept within the Divine Mother, the Mahatripurasundari.

In the words of Adi Sankara, the great sage who in Soundariya Lahari verse 12 talks much about the Divine mother’s beautiful appearance. The Divine Mother is the daughter of the Mountain. Distinguished divine people/servants/poets such as Lord Brahma are even struggling to express Her unparalleled beauty in words. They fail in their attempt to completely portray HER beautiful self. Celestial women out of great eagerness to get a glimpse of the Divine Mother’s splendor, mentally attain a condition of union into Lord Siva (getting mukthi). It is not that easy to achieve such union (mukthi) with Lord Siva. In that whole process, they are able to see the unequalled beauty of the Divine Mother. Of course, the Divine Mother is other half of Lord Siva as in Arthanareeswar.

Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 47: Shri Marali Manda Gamana (OM marAlImandagamanAyai namaH)

The Divine Mother has a slow and gentle manner of walking (gait).Her walking is compared here to that of a swan.

With Her all powerful and omniscient (knowing everything in this universe) status, does the Divine Mother really need to have any anxiety at all? So She is relaxed and Her walking (gait) is slow, steady and gentle.

The Divine Mother’s lotus feet and swan are waterborne. Swans are attracted to lotus stalks.

This namam can be viewed to mean that swans taught their gait to the Divine Mother. In return, the swans learnt their squeaking sound from the Divine Mother’s anklet tinkle or a steam of sweet sound coming out from Her anklets.

Some ancient great sages had expressed different views on the Divine Mother’s gait or slow and gentle walk. All poets imagine beyond facts and truth.

Mahakavi Kalidasa thought that the Divine Mother got Her gait from the swans. Whereas the Adi Sankarar another great sage in Soundariya Lagari 91 st verse recorded that the swans learned their slow walking from the Divine Mother. He continued saying that swans first failed to walk, but the Divine Mother with all Her passion for the devotees taught the swans to walk by making them to follow Her anklets tinkle or sweet sound. He further expressed that there can be no comparison in the universe for the Divine Mother’s walking with Her feet adorned with anklets which tinkle with sweet sounds.

Perhaps, to lighten up on our intellect, we may need to understand the secret in the Divine Mother’s gait or slow and soft walk. That will help us to follow Her like the swans mentioned in this beautiful simple namam to learn the knowledge we seek from Her to eliminate our ignorance and darkness.

Manda Gamana: a very mild movement

Swan: a large water bird with a very long flexible neck, short legs webbed feet usually living in rivers and lakes, mostly whitish in colour. In some (western) cultures, swan is considered as a symbol of motherhood, love, devotion and partnership.

Gait: a slow and gentle manner of walking.

Shri Lalitha Sahasranamam: Namam 46: Shri Sinjana Mani Manijira Mandita Sripadambuja (OM shi ~ njAnamaNima ~ njIramaNDitashrIpadAmbujAyai namaH)

The Divine Mother wears gem studded golden anklets in HER auspicious lotus feet. As SHE walks these anklets tinkle sweetly.

We have seen earlier that the Divine Mother came out of the yoga fire lit by the devargal seeking HER help to destroy the Pandasuran, the evil force. From the fire as she walked towards the devargal, the anklets in her auspicious lotus feet produced tinkling sound. The devargal on hearing such sweet sound got immense happiness and confidence in getting HER help.

This namam is associated with the sound. The unique characteristic nature of the (celestial) sky is sound. This has evolved into the immeasurable creation. To create is an action. If any action takes place it is natural to produce sound. The sound produced here is unstuck or unheard to normal humans. During deep meditation, the Divine Mother’s worshippers had heard HER anklets musical tinkle.
