From Nama 684 to 741 the glories of the Divine Mother are discussed.
The Divine Mother destroys the wicked forces and demons.
She destroys and eliminates the Daitya or the evil forces. To take an evil role is the asura approach. They cause considerable trouble to mankind and devas. They get happiness by doing bad things to all good souls, who cannot control or escape troubles from them. The Divine Mother at appropriate times, removes such asuras by destroying them.
The souls and humans have constant battle between good and bad within themselves. Those who seek Brahman, recite the mantras to eliminate the evil within themselves. Their asuras within and externally get destroyed easily by surrendering to the Divine Mother. Therefore, She, is called ‘Daitya shamani’.
Daityas are asuras, the sons of Didi. The Divine Mother controls such Daityas. She stops the spread of evil thinking. The stories of the Divine Mother’s destruction of demons such as Bhandasura and Daruka are well recorded and famous.
The Divine Mother destroys the wicked
demons.
