In Namas 249 to 274, the Divine Mother’s Five functions and Her Five Isvara forms are described.
The Divine Mother assumes the form of Brahma doing creation.
The Divine Mother takes the form of four faced Brahma doing the creation. For understanding, we separate the male and female deities. But both are same. Fire and heat are the same. In the same way, having a male deity and a female deity for a particular purpose is common practice.
In this universe, four faced Brahma is continuously creating the universe. He is
always active. So, we see Brahma as universe, which is contained within the
Divine Mother. So, She is Brahma Rupini.
Brahma is predominantly rajasic; He does the creation job as assigned by the Divine Mother. She is assuming His role in creation. We earlier discussed that the Divine Mother gives orders to Brahma in carrying out the task of creation. This Nama makes it clear that Brahma is same as the Divine Mother in doing the creation.
