In Namams 188 to 198, the Divine Mother’s glory is described.
The Divine Mother destroys the sorrows or miseries of Her devotees.
The Divine Mother removes all root causes which give unhappiness or inconvenience to Her devotees; whether is related to body or mind or anything else with Her grace and blessings.
Duhkha is sorrow, it is derivative meaning is, corrupt or evil (duh) sensing organ (kha); that is, evil senses.
Sukha is opposite of it, meaning happiness. The explanation or implication is that misery and happiness do not involve the soul but, are based or depend upon senses. The mind is one such sensing organ.
Gita describes the mind as “Sixth Sense”. Overpowering our mind will help to eliminate the misery. The worst misery is the Samsara Sagara.
Sorrows or miseries are of three kinds
and scriptures refer them as TApa-traya:
·
Adhi-bhautika which is pertaining to
Bhutas or living beings,
·
Adhi-daivika which is pertaining to
due to the Daivas or Gods or unseen forces or fate
· Adhyatmika which is pertaining to one’s own self or the Atman.
These sufferings or dukhad are inevitable part of our life. They are due to our bodily conditions born out of our present and past birth vasanas.
Humans weep and cry over various reasons. One has to surrender to the Divine Mother to overcome one’s sorrow. Whoever worships for Her kindness, gets his sorrows eliminated; gets liberation cycle of birth and death.
The Divine Mother removes the sorrow
and grants salvation to Her devotees.
