In Namams 199 to 248, the Divine Mother’s Saguna or infiniteness power and glory are described.
The Divine Mother resides in the centre of the Chandramandala, the moon’s disc.
The human body is an ideal temple for the Kundalini to rise through the six adhara cakras to reach Sahasrara. The Divine Mother stays in all six adhara cakras to safe-guard the Kundalini’s upward movement to Sahasrara, where the unison of Lord Shiva and the Divine Mother happens. The Sahasrara has another name Candramandala. The Kundalini achieves the liberation in Candramandala. This Namam implies that Candramandala represents one of the best divine places.
On full moon day worshipping the Divine Mother in Moon’s disc and reciting this Lalitha Sahasranamam eliminates the krodha and gives long life to the devotee. The Divine Mother is in Kundalini form in Candramandala, where the Lord Shiva and the Divine Mother unison bliss is happening. This motivates the devotees to worship the Divine Mother in Sricakra Candramandala.
The Kundalini is the sakti in individual souls. The sakti in the universe, brahmanada, is Tripurasundari or the Divine Mother. We have seen in earlier Namams that Kundalini breaks through the six adhara cakras to reach the Sahasrara, the thousand pedaled lotus, and reaching the Candramandal, causes the flow of nectar downwards to muladhara.
Acharya Baskararaya refers the ‘SivaPuram: “I reside in the flame of fire and You in the head of the moon, the world consisting of fire and moon is presided over by us”.
The moon and fire represent cold and heat, happiness and sorrow, and other pairs of the opposites. The interpretation is that Lord Shiva and the Divine Mother manifest everywhere in the universe in this dual aspect.
Chandra controls one’s mind; the Divine Mother staying in Chandra Mandala, controls the minds of Her devotees. One needs to have a good support of Chandra to achieve higher status in life, which in turn is through the Divine Mother’s grace and support. She gives Her blessings from Chandra Mandalam.
The devotee worships the Divine Mother in Srichakra Chandramandala. She resides in Srichakra centre
point, Bindu.
The Divine Mother
resides as Sri Vidya in Bindu, the inner most level in Sri Cakra.
